The ZERO2 Youth Elite comes equipped with a titanium facemask, which is 60% lighter than carbon steel. The ZERO2 Youth Elite also comes with an attached Oakley visor (clear). The ZERO2 Youth Elite also has a higher-grade chin cup.
The ZERO2 Youth utilizes a carbon steel facemask, has no attached visor, and a soft-cup chin cup.
The ZERO2 Youth and ZERO2 Youth Elite have almost identical protection. Both helmets are rated five stars by Virginia Tech, but the ZERO2 Youth Elite offers slightly more protection with the titanium facemask and the lighter overall weight. Internally, the helmets are the same.
